Yes, no surprise. Chris played us all year, with his, I'm not joining this year, then arrives late, gets first pick and destroys the competition with his top two picks being Stamkos and Art Ross winner Malkin. Overall, the money was spread around nicely however. I believe the new system was a success. And the competition between Dan and Ranon for second was intense. Both were tied in the morning of the last day. A tie would win it for Ranon, so Dan had to get more points, which he had a favorable shot at, considering way more players on the ice and a goaltender. But Ranon had Crosby and an early morning lead he carried into the final two games of the year. With Dan down 3 points, we watched as Lou pitched a shutout and Pavelski tacked on an assist to give Dan the win by two points. Best end to a season yet!! And almost every member of the pool got a cash payout, Chris got the win, Art Ross and best Average ($420); Dan got 2nd place ($60); Ranon best defenseman ($60); Ben best goaltender ($60); and yours truly winning the Standings competition ($80). This said, the remaining member, Gord N. fell short in three categories, a little luck his way and some of that money could well have been his. Overall, great year.
