Well... this is interesting. We all got players dropping like flies, this will likely be the lowest scoring pool thus far. That said, it has potential to be the most competitive all the way through. It is starting to look like a low scoring, long haul to the finish line. Crazy first round though, leaving Ranon in first place, but losing all his players thus, killing his chances. Andy will set a new low bar, that is a fact. If it wasn't for Henrique's pair in the last game of round one, Andy would not have hit twenty points. With only Henrique left, Andy's chances are gone and it will be a struggle to 30. Andy is a gamer though, the strategy would have paid off if the Canucks did what we all expected them to do. Their first round exit was a disappointment eased only slightly by the Bruins equally early summer. With all the upsets and gambles on members part, no one has a flawless bracket after the first round. Gord L. and Andy are leading the way, with five teams still in it it, but Gord N. and Chris have the most legitimate shot at winning, if either NSH or NJD make the finals, Gord N. still has the most legitimate path to the cup with NSH. Should be a good year, with a lot of surprises still to come.
