Round Two

May 13, 2012
Well... many more casualties in this epically low scoring playoff race. It looks like all will hinge on the NYR/NJD series. If NYR wins, Shaun wins the bracket and Ben will likely win the pool. If NJD wins Chris will win the bracket and likely the pool as well. And that's really all there is to say, for the rest of us, better luck next year.

Ben- 58 pts
Chris- 54 pts
Gord L.- 51 pts
Ranon- 48 pts
Dan- 45 pts
Gord N. 41 pts
Shaun- 36 pts.
Andy- 24 pts.

First Round Down

April 27, 2012
Well... this is interesting. We all got players dropping like flies, this will likely be the lowest scoring pool thus far. That said, it has potential to be the most competitive all the way through. It is starting to look like a low scoring, long haul to the finish line. Crazy first round though, leaving Ranon in first place, but losing all his players thus, killing his chances. Andy will set a new low bar, that is a fact. If it wasn't for Henrique's pair in the last game of round one, Andy w...

2011-12 Done

April 10, 2012
Yes, no surprise. Chris played us all year, with his, I'm not joining this year, then arrives late, gets first pick and destroys the competition with his top two picks being Stamkos and Art Ross winner Malkin. Overall, the money was spread around nicely however. I believe the new system was a success. And the competition between Dan and Ranon for second was intense. Both were tied in the morning of the last day. A tie would win it for Ranon, so Dan had to get more points, which he had a favor...

Wrapping Up

March 17, 2012
Sorry about the lack of updates, for those that may read this page. Really busy with school, but at the mid point of march things are getting interesting. Chris will win, that is a given, but the race for second is on between Ranon and Dan, with Gord L. making a late surge nipping at their heels. Also of note, Ben and Gord N. are tied for last. So the race to not finish in the basement is red hot. Interestingly, these two also have the best goalies, so who ends up last might actually win mone...

Happy Halloween

Sophmore Year: Redemption

October 7, 2011
Well here it is. What we have been salivating for all summer long. Another crack at the pool crown and (for us Knuckleheads) another crack at the Stanley Cup. We bottomed out at six members this year, so next year we should recruit harder, but it still was a super fun draft night, and I think this year, with the rule changes, is going to be much tighter than last year. Everyone's team looks great. So good luck guys and let the road to redemption begin.

I've posted the Spreadsheets (Ranon and D...

What the Fuck? Boston won the Cup.

June 19, 2011
Yeah, it was brain damage. Not the way any of us saw the playoff run to the cup. We all picked Vancouver over Boston or Washington so this was a shocker. Nuff said. Dan wins. And Gord is the first loser for the second time in a row. I think it is interesting however that this is also my second playoffs in a row with the most players on the Stanley Cup winning team (2 Bruins, 3 Blackhawks). This pool was a better playoff run than last year, more highlights and lowlights with a closer spread of...
