100% bracket

May 3, 2011
So I have asked a few people about what they think on Ranon's idea of having a bonus if anybody gets the bracket 100% Which is near impossible, in fact I am the only one who can do it now, and with TBL putting the hurt on WSH, I probably won't do it either. But the feedback is still positive, I am going to institute the idea, which is if anybody does get 100% this year (me) or any year, then for the regular season draft they will get two names in the bucket. That is all.

Playoff Brackets

April 15, 2011
Here's the Brackets (click on the bracket image). There will also be notes this year, uploaded each round if there is any note of interest.
I was also wondering if anyone wants to debate over tiebreaks for the regular pool. It is not really official as to how tie breaks happen because a tie for the win is such an improbability. However, if such a rare occurance does transpire we have two options: 1. Most goals or 2. Best points per game average. Personally I am leaning towards average because...

And the Winner is...

April 12, 2011
Ben! Yep, Ben won. Looks like Kesler in the third round is not just a good pick but an excellent and savvy pick. I don't have much else to say. You can view the results in the spreadsheet here or in the history page. I hope to see everyone at the bar when the pot is awarded, and for the adjoining playoff pool draft. Redemption time! Also, in the future hopefully we can get a dialougue going on this webiste using the chat forum. I think we may be missing out on some good trash talkin, the site...

Deadline Update

March 3, 2011
Well this is it. The last update before the end of the season. Trades have come and gone, although next year we will be saying that much sooner, and we are ready for the final push. After three months of being on top my throne has been usurped by Ben and it looks like he is set up to run away with it. However, it is not over until the final buzzer sounds. ********************Some important dates:
Tuesday April 12th will be the awarding of the pot as well as the draft for the playoff pool. For ...

Goals for Goalies

February 27, 2011
After a talk with Dan yesterday I have decided to institute a new rule. Scored points for goaltenders are not counted, hence any assist for a goaltender this year has not been recorded, mainly because it is not a stat that the NHL.com takes note of. However, we were discussing goaltender goals and I feel that due to the rarity and specialness of them, it seems hard not to award the person with that goalie a point for such a feat. So technically in the spreadsheet I designed we would consider ...
