Season's Greetings

December 24, 2010
So it made sense to post this update during the Christmas break. It may be an early present for some, a lump of coal for others, but this little break should give us all some time to reflect and be thankful for what we got and wish for what we want. Anyway, as usual see the powerpoint for details, also a few more notes on notable nights in the word document.

Cheers.

Gord- 400 pts.
Ranon- 363 pts.
Ben- 362 pts.
Pat- 335 pts.
Dan- 333 pts.
Chris- 320 pts.
Eric- 299 pts.

Injury Trade Deadline

November 28, 2010
I had a thought today about the deadline. I would like to make an adjustment to the rules, whihc I feel should have the other member's approval. I feel most of you will agree. As it stands the final injury trades must be by Januray 28th at 10:00 pm. It occured to me that it would suck if someone had a goalie or defensement injure themselves one or two weeks before this deadline and then find themselves unable to trade them but they are injured four weeks or more. So the rule change I propose ...

Quarter Season Done

November 28, 2010
Well it's time for another update. A very interesting month. Lots of injuries, slumps and hotstreaks. Ranon's big 20 something or other jump, via Anderson getting injured has made this a tight race for number 1. We still have a great deal of hockey to play, it is still anybody's game. All it takes is a great couple nights while everbody elses team is sleeping. So as of this morning these are the standings (see the powerpoint for details):

Gord- 262 pts
Ranon- 248 pts
Ben- 231 pts
Pat- 224 pts

Injuries

November 14, 2010
I've updated the injury requirements and rules again in light of more questions, as people have injuries and are considering moves. Basically for a player to be a legit IR he should be out 4 weeks, so the trade can only happen after four weeks since the injury (see guidelines). For example Anderson injured himself Oct. 26th and on Nov. 23rd can be traded or not, when he comes back, if he is not already traded, Ranon has a week to decide if he wants to keep Anderson or if he should trade him. ...

One Month Down

October 31, 2010
So here is the first official update. Numbers have been double checked and verified, but I am human. Everything will be triple checked at the end of the season. See the spreadsheet for the standings.
- Also there are a couple modifications on the rules/guidelines. Nothing fundamental, just a couple clarifications as to what "injured" means and a more specific breakdown of tie breaks.
- Also see the word document "NHL2010-11Notes" for some markers and points of interest.

Updates

October 1, 2010
I will post updates periodically in excel spreadsheets, with members ranked left to right.
The first posts are the blank spreadsheets with the last couple of seasons stats, and then a list of our picks with projections from a couple hockey magazines.
